Beatriz P. Lorente was a lecturer with the Language and Communication Centre, School of Humanities & Social Sciences (Nanyang Technological University). She also worked as a research assistant for the migration cluster of the Asian Research Institute and as an editorial assistent for the Asian Population Studies journal. Beatriz has an MA in Linguistics from Ohio University which she earned while on a Fulbright scholarship. She also has an MA in English (Literature and Cultural Studies) from the Ateneo de Manila University. She has completed her PhD in the department of English Language and Literature at the National University of Singapore. Her dissertation examines the relationship between language, identity and power in the lives of Filipino domestic workers in Singapore.
Bruno Trezzini is the founder and principal consultant of Practical Significance. Previously, he was an assistant professor with the Nanyang Business School at the Nanyang Technological University. He was also a lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Zurich (Switzerland) and a visiting fellow at the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (Singapore).
He was the program co-chair and co-editor of the proceedings of ICKM2004, the first International Conference on Knowledge Management organized by iKMS.
